A Legacy of Faith

In the late 1930s, my father and grandparents lived in Nazi-occupied Vienna, Austria. Through a series of miracles, they escaped and arrived safely in the United States on October 12, 1939. My father, Herb Links, met Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) while in high school, a decision that transformed his life. He went on to study theology and serve as a pastor in St. Louis, Missouri and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for nearly forty years.

I was blessed to grow up with the richness of Jewish traditions alongside the deep truth that the Old Testament points directly to Jesus, the Messiah. In our home, we celebrated Easter and Passover, Christmas and Hanukkah. Every Friday night, we gathered for Shabbat with our finest dinnerware, warm challah bread, and sparkling grape juice. I remember my mother lighting the Sabbath candles and praying in Hebrew. We recited blessings, celebrated annual Passover seders, enjoyed crispy Hanukkah latkes, and learned how every festival pointed to Yeshua as the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

It was truly the best of both the Jewish and Christian worlds. But I realized that many parents long to pass down this same biblical heritage yet feel unsure of where to begin. Researching the Jewish roots of Christianity, learning how to celebrate biblical feasts with children, and connecting them to Jesus can feel overwhelming.

That is why I created Links to Messiah: to equip families with Messianic Jewish resources that make it simple and meaningful to learn, celebrate, and grow in faith together. Today, we offer far more than seasonal boxes. You can explore:

  • Shabbat Club: A digital membership helping families establish a weekly rhythm of rest, joy, and connection to God’s Word.

  • Links to Messiah Podcast: Inspiring episodes filled with biblical insights, practical tips, and stories that point to Jesus

  • Free Resources: Printable activities, devotionals, and Bible teaching tools for all ages

  • A Growing Digital Library: Instant downloads to teach kids how the Old Testament points to Jesus.

  • Seasonal Boxes: Hands-on activities, games, recipes, and music to bring the biblical festivals to life in your home

As a teacher and a mom, I know children learn best when they can see, hear, taste, and create. Whether your family is lighting the Shabbat candles, baking challah, making Passover crafts, or singing worship songs, our resources are designed to engage every learning style.

My prayer is that these experiences will help your family draw closer to the Lord, understand the gospel through the lens of the Jewish festivals and the rich lessons of the Old Testament, and build a lasting legacy of faith for the next generation. Every feast, every story, and every prophecy in Scripture points to Jesus, our Messiah. It is my joy to help you discover that truth together as a family.
